Comte's positivism meant a transformation of society but within a conservative, scientific and authoritarian perspective that corresponded to the interests of the bourgeoisie. The search for answers to the reality unleashed after the industrial revolution was one of the topics that began to appear within the philosophical problem. The period is characterized by a proletariat living in miserable conditions while liberal capitalism is in crisis. But the origins of egalitarianism predate industrial resolution and it is likely that the workers' movements would have been inspired by earlier doctrines, although in fact they ended up coinciding.
